The piece is designer to ask the voyeur to question all aspects of the suggested Migrant crisis, focusing on the the Joy, Hope, Desperation and Death and to question who is really driving both sides of this issues. In Homage to the 1870’s Raft of the Medusa which highlighted the abuse of the poor by the rich, it depicts the traffickers taking money with neglect for the destruction of lives around them, the parents protecting their children as they hop for better a better life and the joy of those on the bow as they see land ahoy.
